Mary Carpenter, Sara Khoroosi and Catherine Chastney, Oxfam

Mary Carpenter

"Im dressed in a medical suit because were campaigning for cheaper medicines to the third world. The way the patent system works means poor countries cant make their own generic medicines and so they have to pay huge amounts to drug companies which are raking in the profits. It means people are dying because they cant get hold of the medicines."

Sara Khoroosi
Oxfam

"Trade is a really important issue that concerns everyone in the whole
world and I think we can actually do something about it. Today makes a
point and raises awareness of the issues but I hope it goes one step
further and actually has an impact at the next World Trade Organisation
(WTO) meeting."

Catherine Chastney
Oxfam

"I think when loads of organisations come together you can really make a
stronger message and people take more notice of you - you can really
make yourself seen and heard."
