17 year old Laura Brown meets her MP Tony Blair

"Lots of people here today are meeting their MP but this morning I got to meet my own MP, Tony Blair. It wasn't until yesterday afternoon that I was told that I was going to meet him. I had to get up just before three this morning to get the 5.10 train, which thankfully made it on time. It was really strange going into Downing Street. I went in with about seven others; they were all heads of charities. The people in the meeting said his eyes lit up when he saw me, he was really nice smiled a lot and was very supportive about the campaign. I first started campaigning on debt with Jubilee 2000. You can really see the difference that dropping the debt made, but we need to change the trade rules if we are going to help people work their way out of poverty."
